How to get contact lens prescription without havin a contact lens fitting? Use the prescription from eye exam?

I had a regular eye exam where they gave me my prescription…do I need to have a contact lens fitting to get a contact lens prescription?…I’ve already had a couple of contact lens fittings…I dont think theyre all that necessary…but I dont want to screw up my eyes!

    The fitting contacts could scratch your eyes and be uncomft.

    Contactlens hulpstukken nodig zijn. U moet weten welke maat past uw ogen zonder krassen te geven, of anderszins schadelijk is. Ook het recept van uw contactpersonen is niet altijd hetzelfde als uw bril recept. Denk maar aan het op deze manier: het is goedkoper te zijn dan de montage te maken met de gevolgen van het dragen van de verkeerde contacten.

    The rx from your regular eye exam only provides the measurement for the amount of correction for your eyes (the + or -). It does not provide the other measurements needed to fill a contact lens prescription (base curve, diameter). These parameters can only be determined during a contact lens fitting. Furthermore, different brands of contacts are made of different materials and such. Some people have sensitivities or medical conditions that affect their ability to wear certain brands of lenses. The fitting process helps find out if that’s the case for you.

    Er is meer aan de contacten die de sterkte van de lens-the dr. heeft om te zien of het past bij uw ogen precies of je zou kunnen zijn: de vaststelling van jezelf voor infectie. Zij moeten uitgerust zijn voor u in orde te zijn gezond. Je wil niet dat een eye-infectie, geloof me.
